Tutor Vision Ltd is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and relevant amendments.
We provide private tuition, school- and Local Authority-commissioned tuition, alternative provision, educational products and related services within the United Kingdom and internationally.
Personal data may include identification and contact details, educational information, attendance and progress records, account and technical data, communications, payment-related information, and where relevant safeguarding, health, SEND or other special category information. Special category data is processed only where there is an appropriate lawful basis and additional legal condition.
Tutor Vision may create written transcripts of tuition sessions for purposes such as educational continuity, progress monitoring, quality assurance, safeguarding, complaints or incident investigation, service improvement and commissioner assurance. Audio may be processed temporarily to generate a transcript and is normally deleted promptly afterwards. Audio or video recordings are not routinely retained and are made only exceptionally for a defined and lawful purpose.
We may use approved third-party service providers to support tuition, communications, transcription, hosting, payments and other business functions. Where personal data is processed outside the UK, appropriate legal safeguards are used.
We may anonymise information so that individuals can no longer be identified. Genuinely anonymised data may be used for analytics, service improvement, educational research or development of educational tools. We do not use children’s identifiable personal data or identifiable safeguarding disclosures to train public or general-purpose AI models.
We do not sell personal data. Information is shared only where there is a lawful and necessary reason, including with authorised tutors, service providers, commissioners, safeguarding partners and public authorities.
You have data-protection rights which may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent where consent is relied upon.
